You will need a user name and password to download files from these pages.

The upgrades available from this site are not designed to function with older versions of the software. If your system is earlier than the versions mentioned here, please contact RedTitan for more information about upgrades.

To speed up transfer, the new files are compressed into self-extracting zip files (.exe). When you click the 'download now' button you will be asked what to do with the file. We suggest you save it to a 'TEMP' directory on your PC.

After transferring the file, double click on it to unzip the new versions automatically into the directory c:\program files\redtitan\software on your PC where they will overwrite existing RedTitan files. Please change this directory if you run your RedTitan software from a different directory, e.g c:\redtitan\software.

All files are digitally certified to guarantee their validity.

Upgrade from version 17.00

• Version 17.xx are 32 bit versions. Software will run on Windows 95, 98, NT4, W2000, W2003 & XP
• Versions 17.00 and above are required for use with the Document Planner version 3.00 and above and will only generate Dynamic Document Formatter output for DDF v2.00 and above.
• New graphics handling options allows TIFF, JPEG and BMP images to be used directly on the screen
• Automatic conversion of TrueType fonts to RedTitan format allowing the user to select fonts from the TrueType list or from the pool of RedTitan fonts
• A new text window allows text to be used in a similar way to a word processor. Text is wrapped within the window. All text tools and options are visible on the tool bar. Tab feature added.
• Flowed area added. This allows variable data to move on the page relative to the last data item. Lines, boxes and other items of text can also be used with a flowed area.
• Now contains colour PCL support
• New feature that allows the Page designer to be aware of custom files used in DDF and upload them.
• A feature to improve the control over the order of drawing form elements. A 'plane' number can be added after the coordinate specification in all FDL statements.
• 4850 FRM output accommodates FDL forms that cite inks from the default palette but specifies a different palette.
• Change to the method of calculating the repeated positions for lines and boxes (the REPEAT EVERY feature) to defer coordinate rounding for Xerox CEPs when awkward grid units are used (e.g. cm).
• Improved handling of space characters in text formatting.
• File-open dialogue accepts user-typed directory paths.
• Improved support for long path names in font, image and form resources. Form names can be up to 31 characters in length, alpha/numeric only and subject to printer restictions
• Improved Dynamic Document Formatter output. Forms offset for the PCL non printable area changed from 50 to 71 dots. Support for conditional graphics.
• FDLView is updated to better cope with very large fonts.
• This version contains a number of improvements for AFP PageDef users.
• Fix for serious crash if data definition dialogue was cancelled.
• Change to BATCH mode to make batch auto-saving work.
• SAVE-AS fixed to check for overwriting a previous file.
• Fix to improve behaviour of HOME key in text window.
• Fix to problem with silly plane numbers being generated by LOGO statements.
• New FDLView feature in pop-up menu offering to change plane number by bringing to front or back.
• Fix to avoid loss of text characters when editing text containing hex codes.
• Text window converts !00 to SPACE commands.
• GRAPHIC command can have graphic type specified as ".XXX" after name.
• The GRAPHIC command can specify ".EPS" to request an EPS file to be used like a graphic. Although not rendered the size of it will be displayed as a yellow area. Only PostScript output can make use of the EPS image at present.
  NOTE that the WFDL generated EPS files are NOT suitable for this feature and will be ignored by it.

Upgrade from version 3.00

• Versions 3.00 and above are required for use with Page Designer version 17.00 and above.
• Only one user at a time can access a plan. A warning is given if the file is already in use.
• Reduction in the amount of clicks required from start to completion of a 'Make job' process.
• All pages will be compiled by default. The user can de-select pages if required.
• The UPLOAD panel now extracts resources that Page Designer specifies as being additional for the job setup. A new panel on the dialogue lists these in much the same way as fonts or images.
  Note that Page Designer v17.00 is required to support this feature.
• New configuration options to provide an 'output to file' feature for Dynamic Document Formatter.
• Hot-link to Adobe Acrobat or RedTitan EscapeE for creating  PDF/PCL.
• Improved handling of  PCL overlays for Dynamic Document Formatter.
• This version is modified to open the document plan in update mode and holds it open at all times. This will prevent other users from opening the plan at the same time.
• Note: Versions 3.00 and above are required for use with Page Designer version 17.00 and above. Now 32bit as standard.
